Sunfisher Home Sites

Sunfisher Neighborhood Map

Sunfisher is comprised of 36 home sites ranging from one-third acre to a half-acre in size. The entrance to Sunfisher will be gated and the internal looped road will be private to the neighborhood, making Sunfisher the ideal location for safe enjoyment of your primary residence, vacation home, or short term rental investment.

All home sites will have water provided by Lewis County Water District 3 and power from Lewis County PUD. Septic systems will be the responsibility of the future home site owners.

Sunfisher home sites will all offer stunning territorial views of the foothills surrounding the Cowlitz River Valley. History of the Sunfisher Property

Similar to Packwood as a whole, the Sunfisher property is rich with western mountain town history.

A portion of the land was reportedly used for the Packwood rodeo between 1949 and 1954, while
the Vredenburg family owned the land (WPCHM 2014, Facebook; Yakima Valley Library 2020).

During that time a barn was reportedly served as a dance hall and, attracted the local community and beyond to celebrate yearly.

What's up with the name Sunfisher?

In rodeo terminology, "Sunfisher" is when a horse twists its body in the air so that daylight shines on its belly.

Paying homage to the history of the property, the name Sunfisher is a perfect marriage of the storied rodeo past with the present in which outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the Cowlitz River, Mount Rainier National Park, and White Pass Ski Resort.
